Sean Stanley and Dylan Thomas

“On 3 November, 1953, Dylan Thomas spent most of that day in bed drinking. He went out in the evening to keep two drink appointments. After returning to the hotel, he went out again for a drink at 2 am. After drinking at the White Horse Tavern, a pub he had found through Scottish poet Ruthven Todd, Thomas returned to the Hotel Chelsea, declaring, “I’ve had eighteen straight whiskies. I think that’s the record!” The barman and the owner of the pub who served Thomas at the time later commented that Thomas could not have imbibed more than half that amount.“    (via)

Beard Token

About

In 1705, Emperor Peter I of Russia instituted a beard tax. Those who paid the tax were required to carry a "beard token".

This site celebrates and explores the bearded aesthetic everywhere. It's 2 parts whiskey to 3 parts testosterone mixed in a two-stroke engine and served in a goat horn. So follow if you're adventurous.
