Q:You're seriously a beekeeper? It's been a dream of mine to keep :D How'd you get started?
I’ve been wanting to do it for a while, and so I just bought a nuc colony, which is 5 frames in a cardboard box, with a queen and about 5,000-10,000 bees from a local apiary. You place these frames in a hive, and you’re off. Bees, hive, and equipment, all in for $300.
I harvested my first frame of honey the other day and filled a jar with 5lbs of raw honey. It was so satisfying, I’ve been eating it almost every meal. I’ll probably add another hive next year, and really want to make a top-bar hive.
Apple Cider Vinegar has been highly regarded throughout history. In 400 B.C. Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine, used it for its amazing natural detox cleansing, healing, and energizing qualities. Hippocrates prescribed Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with honey for its health properties. Now you can enjoy Bragg Organic Apple Cider Vinegar & Honey in a convenient refreshing drink.
I’ve started drinking a glass of this in the morning and one at night. 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and 1 tablespoon of raw honey I harvest straight from my bees dissolved in a glass of warm water. The next step is to make my own apple cider vinegar with local apples.
